Max Mitchell started standup at Gotham Comedy Club in New York City. He began his career as an actor/singer and appeared in many plays and musicals across his native Canada. Awarded a Canada Council grant to study acting with the legendary Uta Hagen in New York City, he went on to co-found 500 Theater Row, on 42nd Street. He produced and appeared in several cabarets and musicals in NYC. An award winning filmmaker, he wrote & directed 3 feature films. Get Your Stuff, his first feature, was honored in North Carolina with best feature and in Portland, Oregon, with the coveted audience award.
