Max Mitchell started standup at Gotham Comedy Club in New York City. He began his career as an actor/singer and appeared in many plays and musicals across his native Canada. Awarded a Canada Council grant to study acting with the legendary Uta Hagen in New York City, he went on to co-found 500 Theater Row, on 42nd Street. He produced and appeared in several cabarets and musicals in NYC. An award winning filmmaker, he wrote & directed 3 feature films.
